Heritage Hills Society Swimming Pool Use Policy
Effective September 2026
The Board of Directors of The Heritage Hills Society, LTD. has established the following Swimming Pool Use Policy to help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all residents and their guests. This policy applies to all five community swimming pools and pool enclosures. Pools 1 and 2 are located on the East Hill and pools 3, 4 and 5 are on the West Hill.
A comprehensive set of Pool Rules can be found on the Heritage Hills website and posted at the entrance to each pool.
Pool Season and Hours
The community’s five swimming pools are open annually from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather and maintenance issues permitting.
Daily operating hours are determined at the beginning of each season based on maintenance requirements and pool availability.
Society reserves the right to close any pool at any time due to maintenance, weather or safety concerns, or emergency conditions.
Lifeguards
Lifeguards have absolute authority at all times.
Authorized Users
Pool facilities are reserved exclusively for Heritage Hills residents in good standing, and their guests. Residents must present a valid Heritage Hills ID card with a current year pool sticker in order to enter the pool enclosure.
Guest Policy
Each household may bring up to five guests per visit. The host must remain with their guest(s) at all times. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their guest(s), and residents with a Junior ID may not bring guests.
Children
While children are welcome at all of our pools, pools 1 and 3 have been designated as specifically child friendly and the only pools where pool toys are allowed. A list of allowed pool toys can be found in the pool rules posted on the Heritage Hills website and at the entrance to all pools. Children under age 14 must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult (18 or older) who is solely responsible for their supervision. Residents 14 to 15 may obtain a Junior ID to use a pool without an adult present.
General Safety Rules:

| Swim diapers are required for children not fully toilet trained. | Running, roughhousing, and unsafe behavior are prohibited. |
| No intoxicated persons. | Audio and cell phone devices must be used with headphones. |

Conduct
Pool users are required to respect their fellow residents, keep noise levels reasonable, dispose of trash properly, leave furniture in place, and refrain from harassment or disruptive behavior.
Food and Beverages
Food and beverages are permitted unless otherwise posted. No glass containers. All trash must be removed from the pool enclosure.
Pets
Pets are not permitted inside the fenced pool area except for service animals as permitted by law.
Pool Furniture
Furniture is available on a first-come, first-served, basis and may not be reserved for persons not yet in attendance.
Pool Closures
Pools may be closed for maintenance, water quality issues, severe weather, mechanical failures, safety concerns, unavailability of lifeguards or community events.
Violations
Violations may result in verbal or written warnings, suspension of pool privileges, fines as authorized by the governing documents, liability for damages, or other violations of the pool rules.
Damage to Property
Residents are financially responsible for damage caused by themselves, household members, or guests.
Emergency Procedures
Call 911 immediately, notify the lifeguard, notify Society management, do not move injured persons unless necessary, and follow emergency personnel instructions.
Acceptance of Risk
Use of the pool facilities is at each user’s own risk. Society assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or lost or stolen personal property.
Board Authority
The Board of Directors reserves the right to amend this policy as necessary.
